#2540. Itsy Bitsy Spider & his 2 friends

Music, level: Kindergarten
Posted Wed Mar 13 13:37:02 PST 2002 by Jessica Muters (Lovey52678@aol.com).
CR Schools, Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Activity Time: 5 minutes
Concepts Taught: singing, song adaptation, FUN!

You sing the Itsy Bitsy Spider with the kids.
Then you ask them if they know his 2 friends. You will introduce them:
#1 Teeny Weeny Spider
*show how teeny he is
*explain/demonstrate his:
"teeny weeny" rain
"teeny weeny" sun
"teeny weeny" wash the spider out
*Now sing it w/ "teeny weeny" AND a "teeny weeny voice" (very small and high)
*YOUR KINDERGARTENERS WILL DIE LAUGHING...LOL!

#2 Great Big Spider
*same as "teeny weeny" except huge
*kids must stand he is sooo big!
*go through the sun, rain, & wash spider out

!* I don't let kids EVER yell in my music room so remind them that he has a great big voice (low and deep), not loud
--They will get it when you start it for them.
MY KINDERGARTENERS LOVE THIS!!
