Materials Required: Bread, Ziploc baggie, Journal
Activity Time: Anywhere from 2 weeks to 6 weeks
Concepts Taught: Fungus

Description: To make mold grow on a slice of bread over a period of time.

Procedures: 1.Put a slice of bread into a ziploc bag
2.Put the baggie in a dark spot.
3.Keep a daily log of what the bread looks like each day.
4.Must do the log everyday.
5.Can take pictures daily for your log instead of writing.

Requirements: 1. Moldy bread must be in a sealed bag.
2. Must do a daily log.
3. Log book must be neat and attractive.

Grading Scale: You can assign the project as extra credit or give them a grade for it.
