Materials Required: Examples of simple machines
Activity Time: 2 weeks
Concepts Taught: Simple Machines

Directions: Collect 7 items(simple machines) and place them in a shoe box.
They must fit inside the box. You must clearly label all the items in the box.
You must use the correct simple machine name when labeling your items.
You may not have any drawings or printed materials as an item.

Simple Machines: (I listed some examples beside each machine)

Inclined Plane (ex. door stopper)
Wedge (ex. toy axe)
Wheel and Axle (ex. hot wheel)
Lever (ex. screw driver)
Screw (ex. screw)
Pulley (ex. miniature pulley, found at hardware store)

Extra Credit: Find a compound machine (a machine that combines diefferent simple machines together)
