I DO NOT KNOW WHO INVENTED THIS, BUT IT WAS PASSED ON TO ME.
It is sung to the tune of Yankee Doodle Dandy

am--is--are--was--were--be--being--been
have--has--had--do--does--did
shall--will--should--would--may--might--must
can--could

Sing it several times with them. I have them sing it outloud and then one at a time. They have a great time doing it.

I also give them a quiz everyday until everyone has learned it. Several months later, they are still singing the song. I have some of my former students that sing the song when they see me.
