The Great Kapok Tree

Puppet show allows students to get to know the occupants of the Kapok Tree. The book lends itself beautifully to a play or puppet show. Mys students each created their own puppet based upon one of the creatures who makes his home in the tree.
Each puppet was as unique as each child.
Our show was performed many times, for many classes. Besides the science learned from the story, the students became more confident as they spoke and performed efore various groups.
