Materials Required: Construction paper cut into diffent shapes in different colors and sizes, white paper, and glue.
Activity Time: 20- 30 minutes
Concepts Taught: Colors, Shapes, Sorting by color, shape, and size

Cut out several shapes in different colors and sizes. Have children play with the shapes. Ask the children questions about the shapes. Example- Can you find the small green rectangle? Can you put all the orange shapes together? etc.
Then let them use the shapes to create their own pictures on the white paper. Example- Rectangle for the trunk of tree, circles for the leaves. Encourage them to use their imagination.
