Materials Required: Floor Hockey Sticks, pucks, balls, and cones
Activity Time: Each class has 40-45 minutes of activity time
Concepts Taught: Passing, shooting, dribbling, defensive and play cooperatively with a group or partner

Day #1: TSWBAT:
1. Demonstrate knowledge of the 5 components of physical fitness and the definition of physical fitness. (P.I. #2)

Check roll
• Fitness Circuit (Standards 3,4)
• Go over 5 Areas of Health Related Fitness (P.I.#2)
• Physical Fitness- is the condition of the body that results from regular physical activity.
• Introduce Floor Hockey -- handouts/cues
Day #2: TSWBAT:
1. The Student appropriately executes lead passes.
(Standards 1,2)
2. The student receive or collects
the ball with control.
(Standards 1,2)
3. Play cooperatively with a partner
or group.
(Standards 5,6,7)

• Fitness Circuit (Standards 3,4)
• Clarification of terms:
- Lead passes: Passes in front of teammate.
- Collects with control: Stops the ball first, gains control and then makes passes or dribbles.
- Moves with control: Moves the ball using alternate sides of the floor hockey stick.
- Good shooting technique: Stick back and never above the knees, swing, and follow-through.
• Partner passing (10-15 feet apart)
Day #3: TSWBAT:

Day #4: TSWBAT:
1. The Student appropriately
Executes lead passes.

3. The student moves with the ball in
control. (Standards 1,2)
4. The student uses good shooting
technique. (Standards 1,2)
5. The student moves to deny access
to goal or cut the angle of the pass. (Standards 1,2)
6. Play cooperatively with a partner
or group.
(Standards 5,6,7)
