Monday: 3/19

8:00-8:30: Breakfast, bell work

8:30-9:10: Music w/Ms. Marilyn

9:15-10:45: Direct Instruction: 3 Groups:
~Group 1: RM II, Lesson
~Group 2: RM I, Lesson
~Group 3: RM I: Lesson

While Aida teaches group 1, Lynn teaches group 3. Group 2 will have seatwork to do. Aida and Lynn teach their groups for 45 minutes. Afterwards, Lynn will teach group 2.

10:45-10:55: Break/Movement

• DO and count 10 sets of:

• Claps, shoulder shrugs, jumping on both feet, snapping fingers, wiggles all over, jumping jacks, hop on one foot (then the other), touching knees, big forward circles.

• 100 seconds of quiet!


10:55-11:40: Math Mrs. Ritter's class, Lesson 75, Part 2
Strands: Numbers, number sense, operations, geometry, patterns, measurement.
Objectives: Reading, counting and writing numerals, basic adding and subtracting, problem solving, patterns, counting coins, mental computation, telling time, graphing.

"Written assessment"

• Pass out Math Offices.
• Pass out written assessment.
• Teacher reads each problem. Reread the problem for individual children, if necessary.
• Collect the papers and the Math Offices.

11:45-12:25 : Math-Lesson 76, My class Group B (higher)

Strands: Numbers, number sense, operations, geometry, patterns, measurement.
Objectives: Reading, counting and writing numerals, basic adding and subtracting, problem solving, patterns, counting coins, mental computation, telling time, graphing.

"Writing the number 69; Addition facts: Showing doubles plus 1 facts"

• Fact practice: Pass out Wrap-Up 6-Subtracting 2 facts.
• Say each problem and answer together. Then, students practice wrapping on their own.
• Pass out Fact Homework 76.
• Lesson begins on pg. 4.
• Writing the number 69.
• Addition Facts: Showing doubles plus 1 facts. Students use towers of linking cubes to demonstrate their knowledge of doubles plus 1.
• Post the Guided class practice chart 76A
• Pass out Guided class practice 76A/Homework 76B


12:30-12:55: Students Lunch (Aida 12:15, Lynn 12:30)

12:55-1:25: Recess

1:25-2:10: Continue with Math lesson-My class.

• Teacher divides class into three groups. Three groups will rotate between:
• Wrap-Up 6 (subtracting 2 facts)
• Flash cards (partnering)
• Wipe-off boards to practice counting dimes and pennies, and to practice making tally marks. (answering addition and subtraction problems)

2:10-2:50 Continue with Math lesson-Mrs. Ritter's class.

• Same lesson as above.


2:55-3:10 Meeting Board, Lesson 76


3:10-3:25-Finish morning work, and paired reading.

3:25 Prepare for dismissal. Lynn has outside duty.

Tuesday: 3/20
8:00-8:30: Breakfast, bell work

8:30-9:15: Conflict resolution-Feelings (refer to posted chart) Give a compliment, take one or pass. Lifeskill of the week: Caring (using manners-creating pennants for please, thank you, excuse me)

9:15-10:45: Direct Instruction: 3 Groups:
~Group 1: RM II, Lesson
~Group 2: RM I, Lesson
~Group 3: RM I: Lesson

While Aida teaches group 1, Lynn teaches group 3. Group 2 will have seatwork to do. Aida and Lynn teach their groups for 45 minutes. Afterwards, Lynn will teach group 2.

10:45-10:55: Break/Brain gym

10:55-11:40: Math (For Angela) Post test, "Assessment"-Mrs. Ritter's class
-Group A (lower)
*Slower paced lesson.

Strands: Numbers, number sense, operations, geometry, patterns, measurement.
Objectives: Reading, counting and writing numerals, basic adding and subtracting, problem solving, patterns, counting coins, mental computation, telling time, graphing.

3:10-3:20 Teacher read aloud/partner reading
