#4175. The Giver Activity after reading

Reading/Writing, level: all
Posted Fri Apr 11 14:41:56 PDT 2008 by Jane (Jane).
Octavis Catto School, Camden, New Jersey
Materials Required: baby pictures to most recent
Activity Time: as much as needed
Concepts Taught: sequence of events

The Giver is about memories. There are many types of memories. The older we are the more memories we keep, then we get too old and we often end of losing memories that are most recent. After reading the Giver, our class had a memory day. The teacher began by showing memories that her daughter began keeping. We are encouraging them to bring in pictures so we can share all of our memories as a class.
