Constitution Day Lesson
Print this sheet for students and have them follow it step by step.

Read the Preamble
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Research one of the Founding Fathers...
The people who signed the constitution....
George Washington - Our first president
Benjamin Franklin - An author, inventor, and founder of our country
James Madison - Known as the “Father of the Constitution”, became fourth president
Alexander Hamilton - Supporter of the constitution, dueled with Aaron Burr when running for NY governor
