We sing "Good morning, Good morning, Good morning to you.
Good morning, Good morning, a good day to you."

and then we sing it in languages represented by children in
Kindergarten eg. Turkish, Arabic, chinese, Italian, Tongan

"Gunaydin, Gunaydin, Gunaydin to you
Gunaydin, Gunaydin, a good day to you."

We sing "Good Morning" which is on a Greg and Steve c..d. and pretend to play different
instruments in the interlude.

In the afternoon we sing
"Good-bye now, good-bye now,
The clock says we're done.
I'll see you on _____ (next day),
Good-bye everyone."

I say, "Who's the greatest?"
They shout back, "We are!"

I say, "What else are we?"
They shout back, "Stupendous!"

We change the last word, shouting 'magnificent', 'superlative', 'astonishing', etc. at various
times throughout the year. They love the big words.

I have had the children sing the following "Good Bye Song" in the
past few years:

Good-bye everybody,
yes, indeed
yes, indeed
yes, indeed

Stay healthy and happy,
yes, indeed,
yes, indeed,
my darling!!

I like Miss Jackie's Hello
Hello (children echo)
Hello and how are you
I'm fine(children echo)
And hope that you are too

Our preschool teachers used this good-bye song that I like:
to the tune of Goodnight Ladies
Goodbye _______, goodbye _________, goodbye __________
I hate to see you go.

And Barney and friends do:
Goodbye, Goodbye, We won't be gone for long
Goodbye, Goodbye, This is our goodbye song
It is to the same tune as Hello above.

In the morning we sing "Hello, How are you"
(when the children hear their name they stand up"
Hello, How are you?
Hello, How are you?
Hello, How are you?
How are you today?

Verse 1
It's good to see __________(child's name) here,
It's good to see __________ here,
It's good to see __________ here.
How are you today?

repeat 1st verse until all children are named.

At the end of the day all the children sing:

We had a happy day, We had a happy day,
We worked hard we played hard,
We had a happy day.

Sing 2X's

I teach 2 and 4 year olds and they really enjoy singing this
good morning song. (the 2's even learn the words quickly)

Good morning to you.
Good morning to you.
We're all in our places,
With bright shining faces.
Is this the way,
To start a new day.

Hello!

We start and end our day with "Barney's" I Love You song. I use a
song called "Good Morning to my Friends" by Thomas Moore in the
morning class, Greg & Steve's "Say Hello" in the afternoon.

Two years ago my aide taught the kids this:

Good morning, friends,
Good morning, friends,
Good morning, friends,
I'm glad that you are here.

Hope we have a happy day,
Happy day, happy day.
Hope we have a happy day,
I'm glad that you are here!

At the end of the class we sang:

Goodbye, friends,
Goodbye, friends,
Goodbye, friends,
I'm glad that you were here.

Hope you had a happy day,
Happy day, happy day,
Hope you had a happy day,
I'm glad that you were here.
(I think the tune is 'goodnight ladies'.)

One kinder teacher I know sings:

Goodbye, now, goodbye, now,
The clock says we can go now.
Goodbye, now, goodbye, now,
See you _________. (tomorrow, on Monday, etc.)

(I don't know how to explain the meter or tune.)

Just find something you and the kids like and go with it! I change
just about every year -- depending on what the kiddos enjoy.

HI, this is the song we sing in the afternoon.

And now our day is over and we are going home,
Good bye Good bye I'll see you all on________

We all sing the song and the children supply the day at the end of the song.

Our morning song is as follows:-
I sing a line and the children chorus the line

Hello there
How are you
It's so good
To see you
We'll sing and be happy
As we all work together again.

Hope you find a song you like
