This is for my ED special ed class. I noticed there was a good amount of cursing, negative thoughts, etc., which sometimes goes along with this type of class. In order to cut down on these , I had the students write it, and get rid of it . They would come get a slip of paper which was cut to fit into a slot on top of the box. The student would write down the negative thought or curse and then deposit it into the slot. This box was the" po'd box", get it? Nobody was allowed to read the papers and I threw them out daily. This really helped to cut down the negative thoughts we heard, and let the students release their anger in a non- threatening way.
