I use this activity as a time filler or as part of a test review. The class is divided into teams. I have the vocabulary on notecards. Each student gets a pile of cards that he/she will be responsible for.
The students each must draw (or I have let them act out the word)a picture of the word or draw the activity associated with the word.
The class then may guess with the teacher choosing the first hand to answer. This way each team has an opportunity to gather points.
I have also played it where each student must pick a card from my pile when it is their turn to draw/act. That cuts down on cheating if the class is large.
The team with the most points at the end wins 2+ bonus points or candy as a reward.
