Materials Required: clear plastic cup, dirt, sunflower seeds, water, sun
Activity Time: set up: one class - Time to watch them grow
Concepts Taught: SWL how a plant grows, what it takes, and how long it takes

Give each student enough dirt to fill 3/4 of the cup. Give them each one seed to plant and have them water it enough so that the dirt is damp. Put the plants in the window so they will recieve pleanty of light. *This lesson can be used across the curriculum. Measure for math, graph, color pictures for art, etc...
