#95. "Invent-A-Sandwich"

other, level: Elementary
Posted by Judy Pilcher (JPILCHER@completebbs.com).
Russell Elementary/Kindergarten, Moscow, Idaho
Materials Required: food
Concepts Taught: Nutrition; food pyramid

Each child brings a sandwich they invented: three
requirements, each sandwich must have 1) an outer, 2)
an inner, and 3) a spread. They cut their sandwich into
small pieces so we can set out a buffet and all the
children can sample them. They also name their
creation. It was a wonderful culmination to our
nutrition/food pyramid unit. (Kindergarten)
