Posted by sla on 7/09/08 The student anthologies in Signatures are real literature, by real children's authors, so many of those stories are very adaptable to 4 blocks. I taught at a school that had signatures and I used it as a resource. You'll notice that the spelling/word work part of this series are activities they borrowed from Cunningham. If you are able, use the series as a multiple copy resource, but do the strategies and blocks like 4-blocks. If you aren't required to, please don't use the workbooks during your day-day instruction. Perhaps they could be homework, instead.
