I don't know anything about 6 traits but I know quite a bit
about Lucy Calkins. She works at Columbia University and her
program is Writers' Workshop. In fact, the model started at
Columbia Teachers' College but has morphed over the years.
Lucy's program teaches many genres: small moment, fiction,
poetry, personal essay, literary essay, writing to make a
difference (letters, speeches, articles, etc.), memoir, and
others. I am 100% a believer!
