I teach Grade 8. We ordered one kit for 7/8/9 which we shared at
first, now each grade level has its own kit. We all use 6 +1.
The next step will be allignment where we will help students who
need it focus on one or more trait at certain grade levels (6 to
8). We help students select a trait, determine a goal and assess
their progress. During peer assessment and conferences students
use a common language, work with their strengths and help each
other rediscover how to become better writers by focussing on one
    trait.
Students post their strengths (I am good at spelling. I have a
good voice.) and their classmates know who to go to for feedback.
