I think it's important to know that there is no particular
order for teaching the traits. Most people teach Ideas first
(though I'm working with a district that prefers to teach Voice
first) but after that, it varies.

I MUCH prefer to teach by theme or genre, integrating ALL the
traits into every unit. Many of the schools I work with have
created Traits Menus, similar to the CAFE menus, with I Can
statements of what elements of each trait the students are
learning.
