Just wondering if anyone knows if real estate expenses are normally authorized for new hires going OCONUS? I am going to look into it a bit more but hoping someone has insight. Has anyone received their travel orders yet?

someday I was talking about selling expenses. If a position is authorized the expenses then it will cover both selling and buying. It looks like maybe but I can't find a definate answer. haha Oh, OK. Happy to be proven wrong but I have never heard of any benefits related to the selling end or any expenses related to things you need to do to relocate to your new posting (aside from packing/moving 18K lbs.of belongings and transportation for you and your family).

someday I only know it exists I am not sure if it is authorized. In DFAS all the documents are there to submit for it. It authorizes up to 10% of the price of home in expenses for closing costs including realtors commisions, etc. Hopefully somebody knows..
