What a fun idea! I look forward to others' ideas. I haven't
tried to create a gift for the school, but I try to get the
largest hallway bulletin board space possible and have
students create their final projects based on who would pass
the board. When my eighth graders read the Iliad, they
designed and made a mural to teach the hall's fourth through
sixth graders Greek mythology. In a different room the fifth
graders made tessellations and listed important facts,
history, and how-to's of tessellations for the primary
student audience.
Have you considered writing books for the library? There are
different online photo publishers that will create a hard
bound copy for $10-25.
