Thanks > Sandy Sandy, I teach full time 2nd grade gifted. This August the Olympics will start so a unit on Greece, Ancient Greece, and the Olympics will be perfect. Also, the elections are coming up so there's another unit of study that should take you through to December. How about a year long theme such as heroes or going places? You could also survey your students and see what the would like to learn more about. You would be surprised, I know I was, when I did that!
