    Post: Restructuring gifted program

Posted by Regina McClay on 8/21/08

We are in the process of restructuring our gifted program
(at the beginning of the year no less!!). I need to know
what some other schools are doing. At this point I am
housed in the middle school (5-8), can work in some in the
elementary (k-4). In our middle school, we have about 4
students, approximately 50 of which have been identified as
superior cognitive. We are in the southern portion of Ohio
and most schools in the area either coteach or use the pull-
out program to service their gifted students. I wanted
something new and innovative that will push these students
to their fullest potential and can not seem to find any
help from ODE or OAGC. Any suggestions or help that anyone
can give me will be very helpful and appreciated.
