Post: Small Group of Brilliant Students

    Posted by NV on 10/01/08

    Hello,

I am hoping to find some advice on this board.

I have a group of 5 students in my classroom. From the 20
I have, they are the most advanced. A few of them have
not qualified for the GT program, but they definitely have
some of the GT traits. My other students are not as
brilliant as these, and I also have some special ed
students who are in great need. I am looking for an
ongoing but meaningful project my small group of 5 can
work on. Something that challenges them, but gives them
the freedom to learn at their own pace. I have tried a
few things, like research on the internet and extra
projects just for them. However, this has not been
enough. Trying to balance their needs with the needs the
rest of the group has is not an easy task! I need some
    suggestions. Please help!
