Why not? Some parents have to fight for just this and you're
being offered it. Go for it. She will likely benefit from
special programming perhaps even all the way through to 12th
grade but take year as it comes and certainly if her teacher
is recommending a higher grade for this year, go for it. She
can always come back if it doesn't work out but to me it
sounds like a winning idea and she will likely do very well
with it.
And I like that parents come to this boards for advice - some
others don't but please know you're very welcome here.
