I submitted this year and am awaiting my scores. It is
great to have someone going through this process with
you!!! There were 5 teachers in my school going through the
process this past year. Three teachers worked toward one
certification and two of us worked toward another
certification. We depended on each other, leaned on each
other and cried together!
These are my thoughts but please follow the standards and
porfolio instructions for your entries. Read over what is
required for the entries and the questions asked of you in
the written commentary section several times before you
decide what lessons you will do.
I am not sure what your certification area is and if I
recall correctly you had to explain why you were doing these
lessons. What were the needs of your students and how did
the lessons address those needs? I collected data from
various assessments (formal/informal). From there I
analyzed students' needs and planned my lessons.
We both did small groups for one video but we did different
lessons based on what our students' needs were. You may
have learners with different needs than your colleague. Then
again, you may have similar class types and you could use
the same activies and lessons.
Just my thoughts but refer to your instructions and the
standards.
