    Re: Library Procedure
Posted by Cybrary Man on 8/22/08

In the beginning of the year as a Library-Teacher I gave a
series of three Introduction to the library sessions to every
new class during their Language Arts/Reading class period.

Once that was done I opened the library to all subject area
classes. Teachers scheduled appointments with me.

Students were able to come to the library on their own to get
books during the Early Morning Library Program and during their
    lunch periods.

I feel it is best to have the Reading Teacher present when the
children are selecting books to check their appropriateness.
