    You could let parent know that only tests in the ZPD are
    applied to the goal. Also, tell her you have no problem
    with audio books as long as the child is following along at
    the same time so that the child can increase their fluency
    as well as AR stated goals. After all, audio can teach
    pronunciation and fluency when reader follows along. Other
    than that, I wouldn't get into it with the parent. Could be
    a big can of worms not worth opening.
