Come on people "choke the others off" becasue they are competitive.
This is the driving force. Our worl gives everyone an honorable
mention so they don't feel bad about losing! But the reality is the
top readers will only read the basic points to get by as there is
no incentive. So then let us eliminate class ranking, no more
valedictorians or class ranks I guess. Why do we punish the kids
that are driven to do well by saying they hamper the others? All
kids should be challenged at their level and the key is finding the
thing that will motivate them, without punishing the good kids.
