I'm a Special Education teacher. My students are taking AR exams, and I allow them to 'check' their text when unsure about an answer. I feel this helps them develop necessary skills for FCAT. I don't consider this cheating because they are reading for comprehension, not memorization.

AR nyc Im in a ctt class. Absolutely not "cheating". "Go back to the text" "Look at the passage" It's what we want them to do, right? Just don't think that AR t e a c h e s them to read, it doesn't. It gives them a chance to practice their skills.
