Re: University of Phoenix
Posted by Jim Maloney on 10/13/06

I have nothing against online education and can certainly see
the benefit for working adults. However, I just finished the
first course in the 6 course Project Management curriculum and I
was terribly dissappointed. It was 5 weeks of collaborating with
other students not necessarily qualified to receive the training
and lots and lots of writing. There was not instruction to
speak of. When I registered no on asked for a high school or
college transcrpt or SAT/GRE's scores. The behavior of the
enrollment counselors pretty much supports the current lawsuit
going on against the UofPH as reported by the LA Times. There
may be some worthwhile programs at the University but the
Program Management course is not one of them.
