This post made me remember a situation in our building several
years ago. Our principal attempted to council 2 staff members
that were having a relationship (she was married, he was not).
The principal was told to excuse himself from any involvement
by the superintendent (at the risk of losing his job). It put
everyone on our staff at odds with each other. At the end of
the year, there was a massive number of transfers. One of the
above parties was given a job as an assistant principal. Made
many of us think that rewarding bad behavior must be the new
way of handling love in the workplace. Ugh!
