    Hi,Neal! No it wasn't a coolant leak and it wasn't in the group
    of G5 that was included in the recall.

    However, occasionally the G5 would make a noise like it was
    spinning a drive and the fans would kick in like crazy. It only
    happened once in a while but it did that from the very beginning.
    My hard drive failed within the first year of use and had to be
    replaced.

    Apparently it's only a safety issue if many of the G5s of that
    generation and production lot have the same thing occur. I haven't
    seen any others post anything on the net similar to mine, but I am
    going to keep an eye out. It could be a fluke or it could be that
    mine is just the first to do it. Luckily I was using it at the
    time and knew what to do. I shudder to think what would have
    happened if the computer had been left on with no one to watch it.
