Re: How do you motivate the unmotivated?

    · Be positive, fun and excited about your job
    · Encourage an “I can do it” attitude (or anti CAN’T)
    · Approach lessons from a “problems to be solved or questions
to be answered” point of view not as “I have to teach you this
stuff before the end of the year” point of view.
    · Do more 3-d projects!
    · Be genuinely interested in what you students are creating
and try to give each student 15-30 seconds of 1-on-1 feedback
    each class.
    · Use a computer projector to ‘hook kids’ on cool arts web
sites, cool youtube art making videos, and as a visual reference.
    · Teach the creative process not ‘how to make stuff’
    · Display their artwork
    · Smaller class sizes (like we have any control over that!)

    Good luck with your research.
