    here are my top 5 ways to hook kids to invest in artmaking
    1. look at what they do, find their particular genius, recognize their strengths, and
    expect them to use those strengths.
    2. lots o' public work: shows, displays, murals, trash can murals, etc.
    3. find out ways to do projects that will be exciting to them, and show them good
    examples that make them want to do the projects (like comic book art)
    4. clay, wire, and other 3-d projects, like someone else mentioned, are always a
    hit with the kinesthetic kids.
    5. sit with your kids, and help them to work through their challenges. Praise them
    for meeting those challenges, and let them know that you are noticing their hard
    work.
