Re: Do principals ever understand cleanup?

I enjoy all the sarcastic comments :)
but have you tried explaining to your p the reasons behind cleanup? Self
responsibility etc. Which is something these kids will need if they go
onto college, there won't be someone there to hold their hand and put
things away for them. (although you'd probably be talking to a wall....I
know I often do. I just remember in highschool the p hated going in the
artroom b/c he was too much of a neat freak and had this thing about
chairs matching. Our room always looked like a bomb exploded...but it
was alwasy organized chaos. his solution to the chair problem...the
cafeteria ended up with tables with attached chairs...boo.)
If he comes in..I'd just whip out that kids IEP, and say..I'm following
what I was told. :)
And I know in my district we have the right to tell our P who is
evaluating us..one time...get out claus. bad day, rotten kids..whatever.
and they are not allowed to ask why.
