I am having serious trouble with one of my 8th grade
students. I have each 8th grade every day for 4 weeks, and
I have this class for 3 more days...
The class I have right now is absolutly amazing, aside from
one girl. She doesnt want to do anything, she walks around
the room the entire class sitting with different tables,
she wont do her work, and she just sits there and laughs
when I talk to her about getting back on task. I have
never had a problem with any of my other students and this
girl is my only issue. I have tried everything...talking
with her after class, raising my voice, asking her is
theres anything else going on with her thats upsetting her,
and many other things. I have tried to sit her at a table
by herself in the back and she sits there and swears at me
in Spanish. Its complete and utter disrespect. I have sent
her to the principals off with the security guard, and the
past two days I have just sent her across the room to sit
with another class by herself bc the rest of my class is so
good, and shes the only thing throwing us off...I dont want
to send her out of my class again, and I do only have 3
days left, but I am at a complete loss about what to do
about this student and this situation...any suggestions
