Post: looking for fancy projects for special parent/kid art day

    Q

    Posted on 11/04/09

I am wondering if any of you have ideas for a
"Parents-As-Art-Partners" program. Basically, I will teach
one project to a bunch of 2nd/3rd graders and their parent,
and then in another session I will do the same with 4th/5th
    graders and their parents.

The good part is we have a big budget for each project
(unlike my usual art teaching). So these projects could use
somewhat expensive materials. I usually work with lower
grades and I am drawing a blank right now. I'm sure there
are tons of great ideas but I am just asking for any good
experiences you may have had with a project like this.
    thank you! : )
