Has anyone had any success with artsonia.com?

I brought the idea of an "online student museum" to my
principal and he loved the idea. He just wanted me to run
it by administration first. I tried that but no one would
ever get back to me. I'm a small fish in a big district. My
principal told me to start with one grade and we would see
how it goes. He seemed real worried about me getting into
trouble for putting the student work online.

Is this as big of a deal as he is making it?

I also did not really mention the fundraising part to him.
I didn't really go into this with the idea of selling much.
More to promote the art my kids make. Do most school
districts have rules or procedures for fundraising? Does
artsonia give the check/gift card to you or your school?
