Re: need advice /first time glasses

There are a LOT of fun styles out there now... ones with cool
colors or funky designs on the arms. The in thing right now
(which looks great in my opinion) are thicker arms. My glasses
that I got over the summer are by Dana Buchman, and have black
arms with little rhinstones and a gold design... and the front
has a really thin wire frame around the top part of the lens,
and no frame along the bottom. i get a TON of complements on
them. The bridge of my nose is low, so a lot of glasses don't
sit good on me... the top of the glasses will tend to be too low
and cut off my line of vision. It usually takes me at least an
hour and trying on 40 or 50 pairs of glasses to find the right
ones. hahaha You can ask your eye doctor to write a
perscription for you, and take that perscription to any eyeglass
making place you want (just make sure they are in your insurance
plan). The fact that they are bifocals shouldn't make much
difference in the style of the frame you get... but there are
ways for them to make the lens thinner... it will just cost you
a bit... worth it in my opinion. :D
