Re: need advice /first time glasses
although i usually wear contacts, i had to get my first pair
of glasses at age 15. i am near sighted, but my prescription
causes me to have to get more expensive lenses so that
they're not coke bottle bottoms. but i've never had a problem
getting cute and flattering frames over the years. i do set
aside some time for trying on frames, though, because it can
take some time to find just the right pair(s). (nice perk:
my husband thinks i look sexy in my glasses.)
why the prejudice against contacts? i've never timed myself,
but i bet i can get those puppies in my eyes in less than 20
seconds. getting contacts in quickly takes some practice,
but ultimately, in my experience, it's no big deal.
