    Teaching in a resource room setting can be challenging. I
    have one period of resource each year and the mix of
    students is challenging at times, if I didn't love it, it
    would have burned me out a long time ago. Have you
    considered moving into guidance or finding a special
    education job that is mostly paperwork. In my school board,
    the special education department heads at the secondary
    level do not teach. They sometimes discipline students when
    they are sent to the office, but are mostly responsible for
    all paperwork and for running spec ed related meetings.
    These positions are equally demanding - but if you're
    looking to get out of a classroom and resource
    setting . . .
