Our K teachers at my old school were nothing less than remarkable.
I knew that I would not have made a good teacher of the little ones. My niche was definitely with the older kids who could sort of tale care of themselves.
Once I was in one of the K's room at the first of the school day. Teacher was calm, organized and had their attention. When "Johnny" forgot the class rules, she sweetly and calmly asked "Johnny" what he was supposed to be doing. He suddenly remembered.

Speaking as a kinder teacher, I am sure glad other educators want to teach middle and high school. It's great that we each have our own age we like to teach. What a shame if we all liked the same age!
