Re: Supplies
Posted by MissPenny on 5/16/08

I am always on the look out for marked down seasonal
pencils, notepads, and etc. Pencils are something a class
can go through very quickly! I know that in some states a
supply list is not required and schools are made to supply
items students may need. In a lot of low income areas,
pencils/paper provided by the teacher can be a life saver
for a student. I would also recommend waiting until the
school supply sale, but keep in mind that you can purchase
basic items needed for your classroom at any dollar store
such as Dollar Tree. I give notepads, pencils, and other
little trinkets as rewards instead of candy. The students
love to choose which goody they will get. Oh, I would
recommend stocking up on printer paper! Most schools only
provide a specific amount to teachers each school year. Good
    luck and have fun prepping!
