Post: "Carting" It for my First Year - Help?
Posted by Mlle. Robertson on 8/07/08
I have been hired to teach French I half-time at a high
school (mostly freshman). They needed to add the position to
accommodate the number of students who wanted to take
French! Needless to say, I'm happy to hear that. However,
being the low man on the totem pole means I will be
traveling from room-to-room each period I teach. I am
working on obtaining a cart to lug my materials around, but
it leaves me with a lot of questions.
I had planned to keep homework posted on the board, and also
had planned on doing bellwork at the beginning of my
classes. However, it is likely that my students will arrive
before I do, and I'm not yet sure if each of the rooms have
an overhead projector for my bellwork. Does anyone have any
ideas on how I might tackle these issues?
Also, any additional advice would be greatly appreciated!
