I disagree with the comment that kids are exposed to all kinds of
violence anyway. Yes, many kids play violent video games or
watch violent movies. But some do not. Some chose not to. If I
were shown some of the images you describe it is very likely I
would at least feel faint if not faint and I would never view
your class the same again because you forced me to look at images
like that.
You have yet to convince me in any posts in this thread that what
you want to do is directly tied to the curriculum and essential
for kids understanding of your curriculum standards. Instead it
really looks like you are trying to push an agenda. It doesn't
sound like you will have any chance to give students adequate
background on these images which will come from so many different
time periods.
