My feeling has always been that schools and education in
general are fine. They are probably better than they have ever
been. Reinventing schools is not what we need. Even if we do
this, the real problem still exists. The real problem is the
breakdown of values in our society. Problems in education are
only a symptom of the true problem. Show me a family, rich or
poor, that loves their kids and meets their basic needs and
I'll show you a student who thrives in education. Show me a
family that sets limits, promotes respect for others and
attends a church and I'll point out the fact that their kids
are the best students in the school.
I would love to know what anyone thinks of the 2nd chapter of
