Steve,
I have not yet looked at the chapter from your book. Thanks for
linking it. I will have a look. I completely agree with your
point that what's going on in schooling is a symptom of a loss of
values. I would respectfully take issue with your suggestion
that going to church somehow indicates that a family has
worthwhile values. A person's attendance at church does not give
any reliable information about whether or not they give any
serious consideration to ethics or values.
