I just finished reading "The Book of Negroes" by Lawrence Hill.
Wow...what a fabulous book. He is a Canadian author and the book
has wons awards here in Canada. There is talk of it replacing "To
Kill a Mockingbird" in the curriculum here pertaining to social
justice etc.
The characters were realistic and the central character was amazing.
