I got a job there and left after one day.... The particular
site where I was going to work: They were more concerned
about bulletin boards and not moving any furniture than
about providing for the children. There was a child with
autism whom I felt was not in the best environment.
They talk a good talk and have great benefits. It just
wasn't for me.
They would not give the kids napkins or paper towels at
lunch.
They were very specific, for example, that according to
corp. they wanted everything on a bulletin bd. bordered in
black. That discussion lasted wayyyyy too long....
Not moving any furniture? Everything was set up and it
wasn't the best setup for the children. Distractions and
classroom management issues were obvious.
I just did not want to buck the system they seemed so intent
on, rather than meeting individual needs of children....
But, the place is clean and has good equipment and dedicated
workers "in the trenches."
